Taking a break from battle

What sleeping late has to offer: first i woke up late. Supposed to attend mass but was late for the van. Fine, i'll take the bus and get there myself. Walked through the bigger alley and waited for bus under the bright sun. Sweat sweat and sweat. Boarded bus after twenty minutes of sweats. Tried to stop the bus at Teluk Datuk but the 'beep' malfunctioned. Landed in Banting alone. And the least of enjoyment i had was the roti telur and teh tarik.

38 days away. Gosh... Time really flies. Soon, the one-month struggle will begin. Hopefully, i'll make it through. As of now, i still find lots of room for improvements. Hardwork is essentially needed!

Laptop will be off my hands in less than a month's time. He needs it more, thus he shall have it. Second thought, at least i can keep my hands and heads off the distraction. With that, i'm left with my cell phone to connect me with the rest of the world. Thank God! *salute the cell phone producers!

Did not attend the Majlis Restu. Had my study-sleep session instead. Have some reservations with the idea of coupon-lunch. Cheapsket! Muyih sent a bottle of blessed water to my room. Still wondering what to do with it. Jeck is clueless either.

Something to ponder about: what seemed to be a close friendship can really deteriorate. What seemed to be a saga appears to be short story, and as usual, it ends with a moral value. The colorfull photos only portray fading shadow at this point. Will our paths crossed again? Perhaps it's taking a break. At least we know each other's location.

As the preparation saga begins...

With our barely prepared mindset, perhaps a mind packed with the necessary knowledge, optimistic spirit, top-ed with notes that took over months to prepare, we are set to go... The song sings 'if we hold on together' yep, to work in group. I've come so far, so why not finish the race? If 40 have been a result of 28, so why can't a 39 been made to be 45? (Despite knowing where my standard really is) YES I CAN! With His guidance and blessing, i'll walk the path enlightened by Him. I just hope i will say the same phrases when i finish the all-seemed-perpetual race...

At least...

Guess what's supposed to fall fell. Nothing much I can do but to endure the 3 weeks ahead. The last straw, will it break the camel's back? Yea. I know, I may have use the proverb in the wrong context but perhaps that's how I see things, how I view my condition. India may not house the finest ivory but the elephants there do have tusks. At the very least I was given a chance to have a closer look at those elephants, not having the chance to ride on them yet. Some say I'm a hypocrite. Perhaps. Perhaps not. My first impulses did appeal to me that my condition was of the utmost unfairness but detailed consideration leads me to the word "at least". Yes! At least, I was able to see the elephants. Tears no longer flood my eyes. But what awaits me in the future is simply unpredictable. I may be able to turn my friends and relatives off, but what about the people who brought me up? Parents? Family? Maybe it's time for me to feel sinful, for failing to ride on those elephants having the finest ivory? Whatever it is, I know I can handle it. At the very least, I was given the chance to apply. I shall not complain.

Relief....

It's inaugural, it's exciting, it's challenging, and finally a relief that it's half way through.

A little bit over budget but we got it through. Carrots added. Wanted to add pamello to it initially but the fruit tasted weird, Off the list! The use of plastic and tissues instead of plates were creative and a result of funds challenge.

They seemed to enjoy it but I doubt 50% of the teachers were there. Bottom line, we had fun!
Another challenge up in two days time - Oriental Night... praying for the best, just like how I prayed for my university applications...

Sun beneath the dark clouds...

Finally, I see a stream of silver lining among the mist of dark clouds. It's a sign of relief but yet not totally detached from the stress saga. yes, I have got one of them, but it's mere interview. There's still room for failure but of course, it's better to be optimistic. Upon agreement with Stew on his suit, yes, i am set to prepare well for it. Day by day, I listen to his experience saga. From the ethical point of view and otherwise, generating my own perception and ideas of answers to possible questions to access my eligibility to Bristol. Thanx Jocelyn and Jolin for your commitments in providing me with the contact details of seniors. It does help in one way or another. Perhaps, this would be my best CNY gift.

CNY - what supposed to be 500km journey to the north is now debris. No, no more Penang in the tentative. So, what's up on the 3 days leave? I wonder, while I make way for his "her". I recalled my principal told me "give and take". Now the question is, would I get anything at all if i give too much? No laptop, no entertainment, won't I die of boredom? Perhaps too far fetch. Promise is a promise, but yet in this case, I have to break it. Felt guilty and uneasy. Should I?

Attended a birthday party of some one I have no idea who she is. 60 years old. hm.. Food was excellent despite in a small and luxury challenged hotel.But the speed of food serving is terrible. Had a mini-reunion at CityMall with the people in caption... Met at KFC, then went around City Mall. Head on to Big Apple. Guys, it's not that I don't wanna buy the donuts there, but I just don't feel like eating it... No offense but thanx for the warm offer... Landed in Old Station(or Old Town- Not too sure) and there, we talk, talk and talk... Surprisingly, Tan Ying Fei's name popped up... Well, most of them are heading to Australia. One of them to US. As for me? Another 5 months to go. I don't even received any interview offers yet...praying

Sorry for not remembering some of you...The names sounded familiar, but faces don't seemed to bring me back any memories. Well, it's been like 7 years since we last met. What else can I say? Even computer has its archive capacity... ;)

SK MUTIARA and its glory

Took a visit to my primary school. A school I spend only 1 year, primary 5, and off I go for form 1. From nothing, it became something. Where the population was initially dominated by immigrants, more than 20% of the student are Chinese now. A school once with no fame, it won a long lists of awards now...The pioneer batch only managed a 5As and counting percentage of passes, now they are talking about percentage of straight As! All in 7 years, AMAZING!

7 years ago, much of the covered walk way did not exist...

They claimed it 7 years ago, they made it today! YEa!!!

Journeying back, I missed the soto here...

Dude! Graffiti is legal in my school!! Who can beat that man!!!

Perhaps there's still room for more, and certainly they will fill it up. 3 Principals exchanged portfolios, each with his or her own mission, certainly the mission of the school will be constantly observed. SK MUTIARA, I look forward for your ever counting achievements! btw, My UPSR slip is still there, though no where to be found by the school administrators. They seriously should get a better secretary man!

They say doctors must be good enough to establish a better patient-physician relationship as an icing sugar of the skills and scientific knowledge, I bet parents themselves too need to learn how to communicate (doesn't mean children don't!)

Skating and bowling

Went out with Shiang Jin and Arina. Landed in KAC Skating rink @ Star city. Close to 2 hours of waiting, AGAIN! Well, I made it! Sis, you said the best way to learn to skate is to skate around the ring for at least ten rounds. Man! In less than half an hour, I was already at the middle zone, though I fell down almost 20 times and the sweat is oozing out from every pore of my body. Hey, success needs efforts and failure is the starting point for success, so why bother people laugh when you fall? Least I learned the techniques. Apologies to Arina, perhaps you prefer something else...

Then we move on to Center point and got ourselves yoyo drinks. Well, thanx Arina for the treat. Before long, we found ourselves in Warisan Square, admiring the picturesque and panoramic view of Gaya Island all the way up to Sutera Harbour (perhaps I was the only one doing so)

And as I continuously blab about KK, we walked almost half a mile all the way up to Jesselton Point. Arina had her shopping indulgence in the Filipino market. Pity her that she had to walk that far in high heels (thousand apologies)

Then, her aunt (Arina's) drove me and Shaing Jin back to Center Point, where we had one round of bowling game. Sorry about the indifferent attitude and impoliteness in car. Well, my bowling skills didn't improve. More practise is needed. Perhaps this is a typical life in KK if you're not into shopping I guess (plus the fact that you don't drive or take bus).

Movie buzz and love letters writing "insanity"

Just watched it. Another movie involving mice. Nice one I would say. Looks like more producers are starting to use mice as their main characters. From Stuart Little, Ratatouie, and now, the Chipmunks. Alright, they are chipmunks, but still, same family! Errr... hope they won't change my name again for this movie.

2 books to choose. Each weighs at least 1.2Kg. 600pages. If I had to opt, I would definitely go for the left one.

Perhaps having a six star hotel in front of your house is a good thing. Seeing the tourists (if there's any) walking in and out tells you your location is a promising one. Initial sea view is mere backyard or if you are lucky enough, the grand entrance of a six star hotel. Wait, six star? Forgive me for being naive, but do "six stars" exist? Further down the road, it is said that five star toilets to be built. "FIVE STAR TOILET"?!!!! Interesting grading system. Portrays so much of mere facade. So in love with status and names.

Meanwhile, the price of the property is jeopardized. Sea view is now either half sea view or hotel view. What's the point of forking that amount of money for such a disappointing act by the civil departments? We were not informed about it at all!!! Surely I doubt the parties involved are really making massive gain out of it. How a stroke of pen at the city hall can hurt so many citizens of the tropical city...
