Movie buzz and love letters writing "insanity"

Just watched it. Another movie involving mice. Nice one I would say. Looks like more producers are starting to use mice as their main characters. From Stuart Little, Ratatouie, and now, the Chipmunks. Alright, they are chipmunks, but still, same family! Errr... hope they won't change my name again for this movie.

...

After the movie, I landed myself in Popular. And these are some of the books I flipped through:
I learned a lot about Elvis after digesting a few pages of it...
2 books to choose. Each weighs at least 1.2Kg. 600pages. If I had to opt, I would definitely go for the left one.
This book tells you what the title suggests, although it's mere Cheetham's opinion and findings. And my first impulse was right:
Yep! Proton Wira and Perodua Kancil is part of it (click on the pic for larger image)

...

The following are interesting extracts that I managed to snap from a book:
Wow... I never know love was that complicated.
100% agree.
Absence of such elements would probably lead to what we call "divorce" or "break up" or 失恋
Tips to write love letters...guess lot of us overlooked these... useful for today's valentines.
p/s: Linda, don't bother about your name up there. Wait till you read the sample letters...
Full of metaphoric language. Eiw... so yok ma man... Anyhow, he certainly proved either one of these:
1. His word bank is rich (the girl had probably herself a good English teacher/lawyer)
2. He spent a lot of time browsing through the dictionary (the girl may find him very hardworking, eager to learn, and very dedicated to her)
:P
Female is not left out in this case. Wait! the writer: Linda??!!!!! OMG, I really can't imagine you writing these kinda letters... LORINDA>>>> haha
Yep! All the preceding caption are from this lovely book. Imagine a couple visit each others house and realized that both of them own one of these, and the fact that they have been writing a lot to each other, what else? ALAMAK! KEDAPATAN!...haha... Who would buy this book a? I wonder...
Guys, get those words in your brain and start practicing your writing skills...ahaks!

In accordance with the upcoming development adjacent to Marina Court Kota Kinabalu

Perhaps having a six star hotel in front of your house is a good thing. Seeing the tourists (if there's any) walking in and out tells you your location is a promising one. Initial sea view is mere backyard or if you are lucky enough, the grand entrance of a six star hotel. Wait, six star? Forgive me for being naive, but do "six stars" exist? Further down the road, it is said that five star toilets to be built. "FIVE STAR TOILET"?!!!! Interesting grading system. Portrays so much of mere facade. So in love with status and names.

Meanwhile, the price of the property is jeopardized. Sea view is now either half sea view or hotel view. What's the point of forking that amount of money for such a disappointing act by the civil departments? We were not informed about it at all!!! Surely I doubt the parties involved are really making massive gain out of it. How a stroke of pen at the city hall can hurt so many citizens of the tropical city...

This is the view out of our balcony now. Sutera Harbour is clear in sight. Panoramic view of the South China Sea.

Perhaps this view won't be affected: The Waterfront

This is what we see today. In years to come, it may be a back alley of prestigious hotels and shopping malls.
View from the 2nd room. Pulau Gaya is clear in sight.
View from master bedroom. I doubt this magnificent view last...
These are what I see as of 14-12-2007, years from now, one of my entries may portrays distinct sights.
...
Meanwhile, I just borrowed this from Cheryl. Caught my interest after watching The Golden Compass. A great motion I would say. Well done producers! Surely, the thickness of the book will keep me busy throughout the holidays. And my Isteri Hanoka Seishu is only down by half. Saga? It's sleeping soundly in LR27, KMB

Gathering and tourist "guiding"

Had lunch with Aaron, Rach and Sonya at The Hut, Damai.... Mini-gathering I would say. Then off to City Mall, a shopping center that is mere stone throw from my house which I hardly visit. The initial plan to the beach was cancelled due to the downpour, a least expected one... Diverted to Asia-city complex. The entry at skating rink really made me ponder, is KK really that "jungle" as claimed by SOME PEOPLE? Hey, we've got a skating rink here, DO YOU? haha...
Here are some of the sights I found interesting:
The word "zheng" can be camouflaged into the letter "E"... cool, a perfect fit indeed...

Pity the shopkeepers, that had to entertain us for quite sometime and we ended up buying nothing...ahaks...

Reminds me of Lee Ann... Wow, you came to Sabah to invest? The name of the shop...
"Bra City"...wow.. nice name...all kinds of Bras
Hey! we've got three of these outlets here ok. Make sure you have one of these in your hometown before you open your criticism account against us...
"Fruit Monster"... fruit sounds ok, but will the monster do something to its customers?

Can shop name really tells what the shop sells? "Cute Girl"... Obviously you will find no men's items inside!

...

After that, I was left alone (willingly) in center. Wandered around the whole complex for more than two hours waiting for Sherm... erg... Anyhow, had a good time bringing her around center and warisan. Cheryl, it's a pity you can't join us. Man, she shops!!! and when the right moment comes, fuh... "this is cha's"... Don't worry Sherm, I'll remember what clothes you bought...hehe
Got (((lz)))'s gift, thanx dear... it was wonderful to receive something from a land so far away, and most importantly, from you...
The "r" fits well both as tree and letter R... Creative indeed.

As I wait by the mailbox each day....

The mail delivery officer arrived early, a smiley face appeared and I could observe he inserted a white envelope into my mailbox. With great anxiety, I rushed to it at once. My dreams shattered as I realized that it's mere payment bills. Went online to check my mail. Again, it showed no sign of their offers. The worries run through my thoughts all the time. When will these trauma saga end?

Virtual dimension

Fig: My Family
YES!! I made no mistake with the title!
Virtual characters but tangible materials

CHRISTMAS?
Christmas trees adorned shopping malls
Joyous songs spur the city
Neon lights enlightened the streets
Warmest greetings exchanged among friends
But what we have in our family?
again, virtual....

Perhaps it's just another blue Christmas that I have each year...

All Time Favourites!

Man! These are irresistible!!

UPDATES!

UPDATE NO 1: GROUNDED
Well, I got out of it somehow... Despite being grounded ont hat week, I still went to church on that weekend. Of course, with that opportunity, I managed to get my supply (of junk food) from Banting. What's the point of grounding me? huh... I wonder... and sis when you say "what's the point of you being grounded when you are already jailed?", it really made me ponder a while. Perhaps you are right. It's like no point...The fact is I do no got out on Saturday, be my guest if you wanna ground me. But as for Sunday, there's no way you can ground me from going to church. Ground me? too far fetch (except the point that I've to go and sign the slot every few hours)

In short:
1st: my "kesalahan" is one of a kind. KMB record! (that's if I put it in a nice way, otherwise...hm...)
2nd: I managed to go out despite being grounded (which I think people rarely succeed legally)
3rd: Amazingly (the dispute was settled in peace- Tribute to Lee Ann, perhaps you are right, I was over-reacting)

UPDATE NO. 2: EXAM's OVER!
HAPPY!!! and I don't wanna talk about it! Thank God for blessing me all the way throughout the exam...the calmness, good sleep, spirit, and enlightening guidance...The fact is, I'm down with 3 sems... 1 more to go...the critical 5 months...Further prayers for my new semester ahead.

UPDATE NO. 3: IELTS IS DISAPPOINTING
7.5 overall band (Praise the Lord). Full filed the requirements of Universities. Was rather disappointed to know that my writing was a 6.0 (where you can predict what are my other grades to result an overall 7.5) Guess I REALLY need to IMPROVE my HANDWRITING. And I'm pretty sure that's how I screwed up the writing part.

UPDATE NO. 4: HOME SWEET HOME
I'm back! Finally! Thank God there's no delay and for the safe journey. Guess the mundane routine will recurrent again. Roller coaster mood at home... Blub, sorry to disappoint you for Hanoi trip and Trus Madi... It'll take sometime before my parents can understand. Hopefully, i'll make full use of this one whole month.

UPDATE NO 5: UCAS

No news for interview offers yet. Knowing that my friends got theirs (despite not from those universities I applied) and I don't makes me worry... in Lord's hands
Cap: They received my application, but will they grant me an offer? (Edinburgh via email)

Stressed out!

12.36 in the morning, trying to absorb chemistry but the neurotransmitter just won't play its part. I just can't concentrate on my studies! That bitch really pissed me off!一肚子都是气! What is she trying to do? Trying to expell me from the school? My first impulse tells me to strip her off her post with solid evidence.second thought tells me otherwise!monday is the judgement day. I will not take any of her condition unless she's willing to ground the whole rugby team! Just because she wants to smoothen her logistic process, we have to move out of our rooms and let the visitors stay? Where is the fairness? Where do i keep my books? Locker? Bullshit! That's impossible! Who would be responsible if anything happen to my printer? Like that bitch is willing to pay! After all, no problem arised when we shifted the visitors! She's just trying to find fault with us!do their religious people learn what we call rational?! It's not like we are the only the one doing it. Even our very own rugby players did the same.why aren't they grounded?! Pure bitch! J.bitch!

Yuhoo! I m grounded!

Atas kesalahan "engkar arahan ketua warden pada kejohanan ragbi"
Even d engkar was wrongly spelled. Doesn't that signify something? The actual kesalahan is "tidak membenarkan peserta ragbi menginap bilik saya" bet she don't dare to write that down. The whole school will laugh the hell out if she did! Hand in hand, the four of us succeed in defending our room. And now, the whole school knows us. Who cares? I will still go to church every sunday no matter what! Should she forbid me, i'll send my lawyer! After all, we are the first to break such "rule" pioneer! :-D

lyrics from http://mp3.baidu.com

Friends come and go. That's how I live with it. Now and forever....为了那种不值得你珍惜的朋友伤心难过?免了!。。。现实上的朋友可没歌曲内唱得那么美满。。。

Holidays....Break's over!!!

For the very first time, I spend my fortune on books! And I've even forked out time to read despite my malay novels (which I supposed to finish) were only down by one chapter. Got an interview kit for half a century tag, even mum don't know about it; not forgetting newsweek. mum was asking why spend on these? ha! I don't have a logical explanation behind it., just felt like reading anyway... The newsweek did caught my interest. "Does inflation really happen?" read up for your answers! cheers!

Finally, I got my ee done! ;) well, not exactly done, cuz d pics are not up yet. But anyhow, the writing up part is over. Coming to think of it, ee really helped me a lot, not just about ringworm itself, but it also aided my stats homework (the statistical analysis, t-tests and what not) Neways, it's done! :D Stats homework almost done (did those I can). Got my econs IA completed yesterday morning, all in a rush, just pray that the teacher won't reject it, one more commentary down to go... IELTS 100% done! Yahoooooo!!!! the reading part did crack my head over. phew... :D TOK skeleton is not seen yet, another one down to go... aih....really no idea how to get over it... pray pray and pray

Had less arguments with mum this time. Well, we did have minor misunderstanding about the Chinaman's pu er tea. It's not that I deny the quality of the wu fu li cha, just that i can't stop doubting the grades and quality of the Chinaman's good. Perhaps the readings on the internet really changed my perceptions? Did China government really subsidized the small entrepreneurs? I wonder....

For the two weeks, i spent most of my time with my ee and what not.s. Did went out with friends for movie, those guys are too enthusiastic in cartoon till i ended up watching Brave Story. phew.. What a day.. Well, least the theme song is nice. Managed to download it through Sogou.com..... Downloads! Muahhhhaaa... Got my CS3 at 67% when I left home. Downloaded MErcy Me's album overnight. Credits to Edmund....

Back at school, sent my 1st draft, EIA and all that. Managed to get things back on track. But for chemistry, it's still haywire. Will I get over it? Hm... Well, depends... I 'm still sleepy in classes. A norm that never revolve despite I 'm here for more than one and a half years. In fact, I developed it here. Haha.... Got my UCAS and UKCAt fees application claimed (money is still not in m bank!) IELTS sent in, though it's in a rush. HECTIC!!!!

Longing for weekend now. Even blogging turns out to be rather hard due to inadequate time. Sooner or later, I'll have to take a blogging break like Nad... haha...

Interviews hit the line?

"a guy who failed two interviews because he was too nervous. He went to his GP who gave him some betablockers and he failed third time round because he was too chilled!"
quoted from NewMediaMedicine

Interesting huh?
Interviews might be rolling down these days, that's if you get it. And the next question you would probably have in your head is how do I face it? How do I prepare? Right before your very eyes, your teacher or placement officer probably had given you a list of question that you might encounter by chance. Still, what are the chances for you to walk in there, stay calm (not too calm as quoted) and give a favorable reply for every question that they address? Staying calm is the key, but not to all university doors. Too chilled don't work but how to make sure that we are at the moderate level, just the level that the interviewers are looking for? Really pray that I won't encounter such problems ahead.

"Why medicine?"
An interesting yet disastrous question. Honestly, till this very moment, I'm still asking myself. Well, if easy life and easy money comes in mind, doctor's out. Some say, if you're not in denial of that fact and you believe a doctor's life will improve some day, perhaps you're the one they are looking for. Despite my personal statement is no where within my reach (UCAS has it), I'm still wondering the right answer to this question. To serve the nation? Or to serve the world where empathy is lacking? This career is people-oriented, some say. But while I tried to figure out the example of "people-oriented" cases, my searches were all in vain (well, this is Malaysia).

Will I get an interview? aha! That's should be the perfect question I should ask now! Well, did hear from my friends that some of them are offered interviews by Cambridge. Congrats to them. Mentioning about Cambridge, why hadn't I take the attempt? Well, it's not that I consider Cambridge has no life, but to be honest, I spent 700bucks for a non-living thing to tell me that I'm nothing more than a normal student out there. My grades never portray any sign that I am a potential applicant (genuine applicant). So why risk one of my four hopes? Back to the issue, till now I haven't receive any interview offers yet. Will I? hm... Reading all the forums in NMM really shatter my dreams into debris. Really hope I had done better in UKCAT. Friends do assure me that it's just a part of the requirements, there are still hopes on other criteria. Grades, I'm out (not completely though). But the competition is stiff. Stuart Little once quoted, there's always a silver lining on the other side of the story. That's what I can pray and hope for now, positive sign from different point of views...

After long "blog-break"...

Home sweet home! Horaaay! Holidays! Weird, I didn't have the ear-block problem this time. Probably I talked too much with that weirdo. For the third time of the year, I loaded my luggage with thick books. Will I ever open them? I don't know. Time will tell... The 2 weeks I have will probably be burned half before I even glance at them...
Meanwhile, ee, econs ia, tok essay, tok presentation is taking the queue. I didn't actually approach any of them yet. Instead, biology and stats took the front row. I don't know what's next, but I am pretty sure blogging is not one of them. The long list of homework never got shorter... How I hope, semester 3 exam is abolished.WHY??? Why must they re implement it AGAIN?? arg.....
UCAS settled, which actually means PS and UKCAT is an END!!! Thank God... The same day which I also submitted my 3rd draft for world lit. Hope everything will turn out fine... now praying for UCAS... Hope my application will be preferred by the "Ivory towers" out there.
Journey down the time tunnel... lots of activities took place... all in a fraction of time... seemed that semester 3 is REALLY FAST-PACED. Well, hope I can breeze through it (considering my long awaited homeworks).

THINGS I HAVE DONE:

  • Buka Puasa session at Alamanda... Came back empty handed and my wallet also EMPTY! Where my $ landed? I wasn't robbed...chill... duh.... all in my tummy.... Manhattan, Pizza hut, Baskin Robbins, Amos Famous, Secret Recipe. All in 2 hours and I was RM100 poorer...
Who cares what they say? as long as my tummy's happy...
  • Mid-Autumn fest... The juniors are great. Thumbs up to the juniors, they really done a great job. This time, we were join by more of our Malay friends... Guess they too enjoy the fun, while some of them actually indulge in the moon cakes grown with fungus... haha... Mr. Lim joined us too!! The camera men did a great job!
Toast! a tradition to be inherited?
A good sight despite it's blur isn't it?
Clubbing with lanterns?
...while we light up the pavilion
  • UKCAT - Man! I spent 700 bucks for a computer to tell me I am dumb! duh....
Don't ever think I will post my result here, do you??

  • IELTS classes - phew... Initial thoughts were pleasing, but shattered by the reading sessions. Found an enourmous hole for me to improve.... Edinburgh wants 7.5, Bristol wants 7.0...praying and working hard.....
3/4 elements I'll have to struggle in November
attaches with it is a 600 bucks bill...
  • Conducted ee experiment a week after first draft due date... God knows what results I have... Nevertheless, I proceed with the writting part... While i wish this burden will be lifted by the first draft which I hope to produce in 2 weeks time...
I'm still struggling with the 4000 words... taking my sweet time...
  • TOK presentation draft - Food labels reliable? never bother to submit the draft...still trying to figure out the knowledge issue and counterclaims... DIE!
  • Went to Salak Tinggi Bazaar, thought I can satisfy my tummy there. High hopes were shattered by the semi-edible food there. To "dis-euphemise" it: Cheh! Nama jak bazaar..buruk pun tu makanan sana! Bida lagi tu penjual da! nda pandai senyum bha! B*bi!
...no intention to proceed.. only trying to figure out how am I going to utilize my holidays wisely... while I pray the best for my UCAS...

Remy vs Little

My show?

They SHARE:
  1. Both are RATS (except the fact that one is called a mouse...who cares?)
  2. Animals living WITHIN human
  3. Amazingly, they can TALK (though human can't really make out what their squeaky sound means)
  4. They are naturally GIFTED!
  5. They live in happiness and very much liked by their owner

VS

What they don't share:
  1. Physical appearance (obviously!!! One of them is blue! wonder did it consume too much Benedict's solution)
  2. One trapped in love, the other one got its owner trapped in love (Can a bird and a mouse interbreed? an offspring of mouse that can fly?)
  3. One can cook, one can drive (not a very appropriate comparison?)
  4. One is detached from its colony, the other one tries to...
  5. One wears clothes, the other one is NAKED! (measure of civilization?)
...

Now they RELATE ME to both of them

WHERE DO WE LOOK ALIKE?
10 REASONS FOR my case:
  1. I am a human (how could a mouse/rat be similar in anyway?)
  2. I live in reality
  3. I EAT, not (ehem... u know WAT)
  4. I do ENJOY French food, but I CAN'T PREPARE them!
  5. Size? Appearance? (optical illusion? BUTAKAH??!!!)
  6. Family love dominate me (although partially), the word valentine is still squeezing through my mind
  7. I WATCH THEIR SHOW, they DON'T WATCH MINE (I do have a show?)
  8. They always have a perfect ending (mine is a roller-coaster)
  9. I speak multiple languages, they only speak theirs (is that a language?)
  10. I EXIST!!! They DON'T!!!
Now, try relate la!!!

Holiday reflection

The COST of FUN

AIDS as in acute income deficiency syndrome
5 VIRUS that causes AIDS recently:

  3. Block party (though I didn't even sniff the food)
  4. The good old days a.k.a reunion gathering
  5. Transport in KL (the price tag increment is proportional to the speed
The viruses sometimes worth it if you see these...

Jason, Nad, Should i be happy or sad?

Two wonderful senior that i had throughout my two semester here in this world of its own-kmb. Knowing both of them is a great pleasure for me. Jason brought me closer to God, Nad revealed to me the ability and strength of one's own opinion. Seeing them journey through the departure gate hurts. Thinking back, time really flies. A year ago, i was still will at full enthusiasm to know what IB is all about. Jason, with his handsome yet friendly smile welcome each and everyone of us. he talked to out parents, convinced us, and assured us that kmb is not a jail afterall. He was the link between us and the admin. He is the bridge that brought us across the deep river of faith... Father Michael will ask of him, the GFK choir will sing of his memory... Nad, the one I passed through frequently with a sweet smile. The first time i talked to her is in library, wher i first know her name. And she was the one that lend a hand to me when i arrived 7 am in KL... I am so thankful to her...Her absence in skull is such a great thud to me...Again, EMPTINESS!!!Now, knowing that i am half way through my destination, the minutes as i walked through the memory lanes, i can vividly recall their laughters and voices. The mundane faces that i hav seen and considered seemed to be more important than ever. They have patched my heart walls. Now that their leaving, the hole enlarge and we got further away from each other.

A "goodbye" and "all the best" is all. Handshakes and hug add-on. It's not sufficient at all! My eyes is sure to flood from time to time. Their caption adore my wallpaper. Each time I log on, I see them... Not physically but the emptiness is there... They crossed my heart. It may not be deep but it's a once in a life time experience. They walked with me, one way or another, how could I accept it?

When will we meet again? December? Isn't it a little bit too late for us? We would be at our respective destination by that time.. Anyway, i do hope one of them would be here during their uni talk in kmb. They are leaving, when will the 10 months end?

Nad and Jason, i pray that u both will have a good life there... All the best. Have a blessed life there! Really miss u 2...

Aging?

Does age matter?
Does it determine our circle of friends?
Or is it mere measurement of the word 'old'?
Brothers or sisters?
Does age realy decide what you are being addressed?
Age gain respect?
Out there, who is older than who?
Who realy cares?

Juniors!!!!

Just threw myself out of today's CF session... A break for me... Juniors came in, new faces, new experience. I wouldn't really comment on them for the sake that they are actually my age. At the very least my peers finally EXIST in this palm oil estate. Pretty faces? You judge it in the next few pictures. Handsome ones? Not in the right shoes to judge. The juniors were kind of lucky I would say. They got their 1st nons party on their second week here. Thanx to Aaron and the gang... had a good time. One thing I just can't understand why are they so enthusiastic in taking pictures..hm...

They say we are weirdos(the seniors) Now, we say the juniors are total weirdos too... not to say nerds but they are extremely hardworking. 1st day of school sees them filling up each and every seat in the library and emptying the racks. Cool... during my days, I hadn't even borrowed one... Well, in fact I did, but JUST Raymond Chang. Am I too lazy?

My EE just got rejected. What's worst, my second Econs IA had the same fate. Guess I'ill be extremely busy this weekend. I have een trying to finish up the IA for the past two weekend but I never got the initiative to start... pray for the best

These days, I have been ordering ood from the Pak Cik Guard. He's not the cook of course! He's just the one doing the delivery service. Had puyuh yesterday! hm.. not as nice as I expect but what can I say?

Church visits as usual. Well, this time we got our transport right at out doorstep. Well, not literally, but at the very least, we don't need to walk the long way through the palm oil trees. Went to Cresk's church last week. Was supried Cresk's name still being mentioned. He's the legacy there. I can still vividly remeber what pastor said, "People like Creski and Malcom are..." Creski and malcom? He must have forgot that this two are actually one! Family day at Morib beach this weekend. Should I go? Tim's coming over. Kinda confused now.. Tim or church?hm....

The smiles...
The new faces...
The Petronas Twin towers. New KMB record... Navin and Suresh
Pretty?
Ha... their first party....

What's left out

June 8th Friday - The KMBian's from Perlis, Kedah and Penang touch down at the land below the wind. The "auspicious" event sees the three north girls cramped into a four wheel drive and end up strolling around the tropical city in Malaysia a.k.a. Kota Kinabalu. As the sun sets over the moonlight, their tummies were loaded with 1kg of prawns, 2 fishes that probably feeds 10 people on normal dinning scale, 3 crabs which sees their ilitracy in handling the claws and mouth watering dishes which totaly force them to swallow the word "hungry". The journey was continued up to the Observation Tower and later finding themselves in the night life of the city.

Morning sun greets them with the bus ride to Kuala Penyu, which they eventually found themselves in Menumbok, having to spend another RM6 for a return ticket as a result of overslept. The island trip was awesome! Let the picture in my album tell the story....

Snake Island

Natural body therapy? or pure mutated Kerbau?!!

The last meals which gathers Ab, Peta, Cresk, LimZhi, Melissa, Yilin, Meryl, Mitchel, Shiang Jin and me

The chalets which we eventually enjoy for free

They had their chance to witness the local harvest festival where they finally open their eyes to see Kaamatan and the greenery of Meryl's Kg. Sarapung. The journey ended with dinner involving 3 batches of KMBians and taxi ride as early as 4am to LCCT.

Holidays passed by in lightning speed. A flicker of eye and I am back in what the facade says: IB world school. The holiday had trained me to handle the word "emptyness" better. Still, at times, as I walk back towards my history, I can still vividly recall the shadows and voices. They are gone now, never return? Probably in a year's time, the laughters will roar again, somewhere far from here. And that is if I make it. Will I?

Semester exam's ended. The script that most students fear - result script will soon reach our hands. The papers that I received showed improvement, Thank God. But I doubt if I am compatible with the others - my "counterparts". I hope I am placed in my desired university, but that's just hope. All the assignments and "seemed endless" syllabus will certainly put me into idle internet status for the next few months.

Better time management could help, but my endless non-academic activities kept me awake round the clock, especially weekends. Should I go for the next TM meeting? Or should I just mingle around with the juniors?

Juniors! I look foward for them in a positive way.... That would probably be my upcoming post!
