Exam's over

Yes finally!!! It's all over. The past 3 weeks was a hell. Literally spent like 8 to 12 in ASSL. What an amazing deal from me. And Geoff should have a sensible reason to throw me out if I were to return in July for resit. Gosh. Just don't dare to think about it... hoping for the best. 5 days of ultimate trauma, switching my soul from the biochemist to ethicist then to epidemiologist and finally yesterday morning Anatomist (doubt got such word) and histologist.

And now that it's over, I'm already in London waltzing the bits of my life without books. Yeah! Least I do know I have literally nothing to revise untill the next lesson. And yeah, the department is cruel, done with the trauma, the 9-5 preassure starts again. Classes 9-5 will last on for another 4 weeks, then a study week leave, and end with a Cardio and Respiratory MCQ on 11 June. Just MCQ? I dare not think about that.

And when this pop up in my inbox, I am totally pissed!

"Unfortunately due to a problem at the printers your handbooks won't be ready so please bring plenty of paper to make notes. "

Why can't they just get things done more efficiently? Haven't they got enough to the point that we didn't get to use the CAS for revision at all for our finals in Easter?!!!

Had a good time over at my close buddies' place in London. The dinner today was simple but hell interesting! And out of no where, we came up with this:

For the eternal rest?

The chicken that went a little bit too spicy

Gai Lan... Missed this so much....

Thankfully he didn't put the chilli into the Gai Lan

And it seemed that this is simply indispensable =P
Why am I in London, it's because of food! Yeah, me and my food! In a couple of hours time, my taste buds will be satisfied with the long lost hawker delicacies flown in specially from Singapore! Yay!

I am just too HAPPY to be in this stress-free stage! Yay!!!!!!

The package came at a.m. as promised =)

Fixing the stand of LCD

Did a room rearrangement to fit the new family member (I guess less people can sleep in my room now..so, less guest =(), added the sitting-on-the-floor touch. Should get a carpet soon, but then and again, should I spend that much? It's just 5 years what...hm....

And here's a closer look at him. Indeed the picture and video quality did not disappoint me. 1080 details, AWESOME!!!!

p/s: I wish I could blog more but seriously, the exam prep is killing me!!!!!!

Man U vs Malaysia

Manchester United FC is playing against Malaysia on the 26th July. Not quite sure where yet, but I assume it should be in Bukit Jalil. Hopefully, I should be able to attend it, and thank God I got myself a Man U Ts (if you get what I mean =P). Though I was never a football fan, I will make an effort to hit the road for this history in making process... hehehe

VS

but wait, where can I get the ticket, anyone?

Azureus

Tried out this new P2P client. Rather fast I would say, aside from the point that seed was abundant. The catchy part in this program is its source of HD clips that came by default in its Vuze HD Network. I must say the trailers came at more than 2MB/s.

Note the Vuze HD Network on the left and the common P2P transfer bar that dock on the screen (can be removed).

Had Fast and furious 4 from Mininova under 20 minutes with Azureus. Seed : Leechers was approximately 1:2, file size approximately 700mb. Indeed, if you're looking for a P2P software, you might wanna give Azureus a try.

Happy Easters!

Thanx for the lovely greetings from home! Happy Easters everyone!!!

Hopefully, after blessings from mass, I will be able to be steadfast to what am I supposed to do. Yeah, hopefully. 8 days counting, hoping for the best now. Probably down by half of what I should boil, but yet another half is to be done in the next 3 days at most. 3 days!

Microsoft Wireless Laser Mouse 8000

Yay! Got my MWM 8K this morning! What a breakfast. Well obviously I didn't eat that for protein or what have you in the nutrient chart, but the delivery speed is indeed promising. Lovely! For 5 years, I treasure your outmost loyalty, but time forgives no one, an undertaker take its way.
Through thunders (the times when you had electric shock due to improper shut downs) and storms (the times I spilt water on you), you have always been there, safe journey my friend.

And now, welcome to the family, Microsoft Wireless Mouse 8000,
Had my hands on the moment I open my mail box and yes it has been promising. The fact that it's rechargeble (note the dock) should keep my days off battery stores for at least a year or two (even if I have to, it would be a long term investment - NIMH). And the 5 keys it have is awesome. The following features is notable. The keys can be customized and I really find the following features handy.
With just a click on mouse, I can see all the windows I'm in. And if you're fond of the 3D-Aero feature, you can custumize in such a way that a click to let u scroll through the windows in 3D.
And it comes with a magnifiying feautre too. Well, we're not blind but when your lappie is a feet or two away, what can you see? It's simply lovely!

And I tried CS on the mouse, the response speed is nothing lesser than my previous USB mouse, it's awesome! Bottom line, I highly recomend it. If you're looking for a new wireless mouse, aim the Microsoft Wireless Mouse 8000 (of course they might be new series coming up but I'm sure it would be just as lovely). And mind I remind you, it's bluetooth 2.4Ghz! Oh ya, it's not optical but laser, so no more of the conventional eye hurting red light! The only light you see is the low bat light which will flash a few times before it drop dead, but a 15 minute charge should last you well for a day or two. More info @ MWM8K

5.1 Surround Sound System on Studio 1535

Hooray!!! A discovery on Studio 1535. It actually support 5.1 surround system (5.1 simply means to play sound of your computer from 2 rear speakers, 2 front speakers, a center and a sub woofer - which is what I have in my previous post). Generally, to enjoy this system, we will need 3 jacks, which is what is provided in most of today's computer. However, in most case, where our lappies won't come with a 5.1/7.2 sound card, the 3 jacks comprises of one mic, 2 headphones as shown in below pic.
But that won't be the problemn (at least for owners of 1535). Cuz the preinstalled IDT HD sound software (as shown below) allows you to convert all 3 jacks into audio output, just nice for one center, rear, and front speakers. And I must remind you, the sound effect made significant difference compare to what I used to do by just switiching on all 6 speakers at once.
Just select "5.1 Speakers" on left circle and change the jacks fucntion on the right circle and you're set to go! So, yay! With S2309W along, it's simply a mini theater in my room! Awesome! Good reason of why I love DELL, they are just robast giants with amazing functionality.

Draining my pocket

Spent a fortune on enhancing my Studio 1535 (center). From left, clockwise: DELL 23" FULL HD 1080p Wide Panel LCD, HDMI-DVI Gold Plated wire, Microsoft Rechargeable Bluetooth Mouse 8000, Sony 5.1 Multimedia Speakers (bought this for over 4 months ago). Perhaps a good easter treat? Maybe a bit too lavish but spending this amount of dough on so many reasonable quality items are timely offer I guess. Time to cut down on spending! Eat cucumber everyday =P

Changing Partners

Changing Partners
Patti Page

We were waltzin' together,
To a dreamy melody
When they called out, "change partners"
And you waltzed away from me
Now my arms feel so empty,
As I gaze around the floor
And I'll keep on changing partners
Till I hold you once more

Though we danced for one moment
And too soon, we had to part
In that wonderful moment,
Something happened to my heart
So I'll keep changing partners
Till your in my arms, and then
Oh my darlin', I will never
Change partners again

Though we danced for one moment,
And too soon, we had to part
In that wonderful moment,
Something happened to my heart
So I'll keep changing partners
Till your in my arms, and then
Oh my darlin', I will never
Change partners again

A year had passed... Good bye, farewell, save the last dance!
