Abdullah trapped in lift for 30 mins

PUTRAJAYA: Datuk Seri Abdullah Ahmad Badawi was trapped in a lift for 30 minutes when the doors jammed at the Putrajaya International Convention Centre.

The Prime Minister, accompanied by Malacca Yang di-Pertua Negri Tun Khalil Yaakob and Public Service Department (PSD) director-general Tan Sri Ismail Adam, had taken the lift to the concourse where he was to deliver a speech at the PSD Diamond Jubilee celebrations at 10.30am more

What a joke to the country. In the first place, why on earth do you need to cover such story? Isn't this an everyday life story? Well, I'm not saying that you get stuck in lift everyday, but what's the biggy? Because it's to do with a VIP? I supposed the report should focus more on the PSD contribution as cover by later part of the news.

Also, a PM has been made the title of the story when a Yang di-Pertua Negeri is involve too? I think there's still an obvious distinction of superiority in Malaysia when it comes to rulers of the state isn't it?

EXAM!!!!

In the midst my slower pace of life, enjoying the bits of snow, and wheezing through my schedules with dramas, Facebook and enjoying good food, comes this unexpected email entitled : EASTER EXAMINATION 2009. What a surprise!!! :-(

5.10: Arrive in my room after 3 hours of anatomy in DR

5.15: Checked my inbox and got a few messages from P and A

P's read: Hey wanna come over the play snow? A is coming as well
A's reads: Snowbal fight at P's house now?

Replied them to inform that I don't feel like going

5.50: A droped in my room, asking me for company favour
6.10: Reluctanly, I agree and start walking to P's place
6.25: Arrive in P's place, initiated a mini snow ball war in the car park
6.30: Started our Mr. Frosty project. The snow was rather hard, there's no way to pick up snow by rolling it on ground. Bare hands, we stamped each layer as if we are smoothening the walls of construnction sites.
8.30: Our first look at time. At that point, it was at A's shoulder height. It is decided that that will be A's valentine for the day. Stomach growling, start planning where to have dinner while keeping our hands busy shapping the big tummy.
9.10: The naked Mr. Frosty is completed. Went back into P's house to pick up the neccesary decorative items like scarf, strawberry and mandrin orange.
9.45: Final touch on Mr. Frosty. Wen Si and two more friends joined us (sorry I'm bad with names). Photography session commence

It was a hard experience as we can't roll it on the ground to keep his body filled. But I'm glad I overcome the reluctance and joined A in this tiring but awesome experience. Weather forecast no further snow. The roads remained wet and slippery. Took me a hard time to travel on foot. In fact, all bus service today is stopped. Most coaches in and out of Bristol show no signs of hitting the road. Besides, I really can't imagine any bus going up the steep roads in such slippery condition. Thank God for such wonderful experience! Awesome!

Bluetooth!

The new family with Bluetooth as last name (OMIZ Bluetooth headset, SE K850i, SE Z750i, DELL Studio 1535)

Can't deny, this marvellous wave that carries signal only as low as FM radio wave can really keep me going. Paring all the four gadgets allows:

• OMIZ as wireless headphone. Pairing the bluetooth headset to my laptop allows me to listen to songs, watch movies and basically listen to all the sounds that my laptop would produce normally via its speaker through my OMIZ Bluetooth Headset. This means an end to the conventional wired ear phone or headphone. Also, this allows me to control my music selection with the Play, stop, foward, rewind, vol+, vol- clicks on my headset. Forget about clicking your mouse or the panels on laptop. I can do it from the comfort of my arm chair.
  
• OMIZ as wireless headset. Pairing the headset with my laptop also allows the headset to be used during skype calling, msn or yahoo messenger video call. Just when you need some privacy talking to anyone, this again replaces the conventional headphones or mic. p/s: the headset comes with a mic as well.
  
• OMIZ as wireless headset + headphone (II). Paring the headset to both my cellphones allows me to make calls and listen to music from my phone in just a fraction of time. Just turn on the bluetooth device on both side, and off you go (it's pretty simple as I have set to turn them on in just a click on my phone). The buttons available on the headset allows me to call, redial, end call, increase/decrease my volume as well as the music functions stated earlier.
• Sending files wirelessly between cellphones and laptop. Yes, whether it's laptop to phone or vice-versa, files can be sent without hassles of wire and it's fast (thanx to the Bluetooth v2.0 that I have on all my devices). For instance, you're heading somewhere and you wanna listen to a song from your laptop (which you would not want to bring your laptop all around), just a few clicks will do the trick, have it on your mobile, and you're on the go! Almost any files can be transferred. This includes synchronizing contacts and calendar wirelessly between device (if you get what I mean, through the PC suite available).
• Connecting my cellphones. Yes, similarly to the connection between laptop and cellphone, I can synchronize contacts between my phones, share pictures, musics and even videos. Sadly, the calendar events is not possible yet (but you can do a slightly little longer way-synch with laptop then cellphone). And it's pretty useful, because you won't wanna retype each of your contacts every time you add them on both phones.
• Cellphones as HID mouse, presenter, music control. I'm not quite sure about other brands, but as of now, most SE phones comes with the "remote control" function available on the "entertainment" tab. This allows me to control my music (volumes, tracks and even fast forward or rewind) across rooms. Yes, as long as the connection is established, you can switch tracks or tune down your volume. Not forgetting its function as a mouse, a wireless one. Although it may not be possible to slide your mouse for control just like a real one does, the 5 way key arrows somehow allows you to do some basic changes on the screen from far (it comes with a right click and switch windows button too!) Just imagine you don't actually need to walk all the way just to click once on the screen. This of course means, during presentations, you can have the phone as remote control and advances the slides wirelessly instead of going two and flo to your laptop. Too bad, the phone doesn't come with a laser pointer.
• Cellphone controlling a presenter or projector. Say if your projector is bluetooth enabled, you can actually benefit from the presenter remote feature available on both the SE phones I have. Good one you have there as you won't wanna walk all the way from back of the lecture hall to front just to blind the screen for a moment (the question is what on earth are you doing behind the lecture hall when you should be presenting)

Well, generally, these are the features that I benefit from Bluetooth on my devices as of now. It really made my life easier a lot. I have looked a bit through the side effects of bluetooth, but as of now, there's still hardly a direct link between bluetooth waves with cancer or something. It's mere radio wave as claimed (although claimed to be radio wave, you still need a wired handsfree to keep your radio going in SE handsets). In a way, I just think it benefits lazy people like me...haha

Envy is mere "dis-phemisms". I have stated 10 wants that crossed my minds at this moment. All materialistic, the achievements of life among humans, but why had I not envy those who can glorify His name at all times?

The Haloween night

It's the Haloween night. Thinking to have a good meal after the harsh week, I walk into one of the reasonable restaurants. there were so many empty seats, but the waiter's response was rather disappointing. The tables are all reserved. One after another, I popped into quite a few preferable restaurants. They were all the finest, I have the dough to commit into this kinda cuisine, but there no availability. What a day, again!

Finally, I popped into one of the restaurants where I observed two individuals from my home country. They were kind enough to offer me a seat and a meal for the night, despite I wasn't in a proper attire. While leaving, I discovered one of them is not feeling well. I tried to offer the possible care as a friend. One of them finally asked me, "how sure are you the friendship that you've just developed for two hours worth for you to care for the rest of your life?" I was startled for a second. Never in my life had I thought about this question. Yes, I'm not an angel, neither do I always stops whenever someone need my help. And just then, I remember something from one of my buddies. Why give? Because God has given us. Offering care doesn't necessary requires reasons even for a chap which you've just met for a second because God offered us unconditional love and care, and I believe that. It doesn't need to mean anything!

To fill up the rest of the night, I ended up with Vodka in one of the local clubs. It did not raise my blood flow into my face like what it has done to the few chaps behind me. That justifies a known fact, everyone is different! We're here for different reasons, and we have our unique biological properties to cope with that. Alcohol not necessary sent drinkers blushing, and so goes when you blush in front of an opposite sex that you're close to. It maybe sickness, chance, but it's not a definite answer to crush.

What a day! While hearing my friends drop their bags and head of to somewhere outskirts, I'm chilling out in DR making friends with the non-entities(considered by some). Physio was still a bit of revision mood, MCBoM fed me with the terms which are not so easy to get familiar with (Thank God!). Bio-Chem almost stabbed me with the buffer and pH topic which I struggled back in IB. yeah, Bio-Chem!!!

Had dinner with a bunch of HK friends. Friendly peeps... Oh, thanks to them (genuinely), I can have Chinese food almost every other night, leaving me missing only char kuey tiaw and its kind. Well, why not, manade char kuey tiaw kat HK? One fine day, I'll cook like them. ONE FINE DAY! And DON'T ASK ME WHEN!
