SK MUTIARA and its glory
Took a visit to my primary school. A school I spend only 1 year, primary 5, and off I go for form 1. From nothing, it became something. Where the population was initially dominated by immigrants, more than 20% of the student are Chinese now. A school once with no fame, it won a long lists of awards now...The pioneer batch only managed a 5As and counting percentage of passes, now they are talking about percentage of straight As! All in 7 years, AMAZING!
Dude! Graffiti is legal in my school!! Who can beat that man!!!
And here are a few awards that they won:
And here are a few awards that they won:
Perhaps there's still room for more, and certainly they will fill it up. 3 Principals exchanged portfolios, each with his or her own mission, certainly the mission of the school will be constantly observed. SK MUTIARA, I look forward for your ever counting achievements! btw, My UPSR slip is still there, though no where to be found by the school administrators. They seriously should get a better secretary man!

A little bit of back date.... Here's a shot of the unexpected Christmas caroling in Palm Square:

Despite the small number involved, it cheered up the whole arcade! Merry Christmas! HOHOHO!
...
Here are some of the books that caught my interest:
If you're into Ciphers, this is it! Secrets, secrets and SECRETS!
Gourmets, here's your soup... But I found out some of the hot-spots in my town are not listed. Instead, some weird shop names popped up, which some them we obviously know that the food there is nothing nicer than average!
Should be an eye-opener for some folks in mcb...
They say doctors must be good enough to establish a better patient-physician relationship as an icing sugar of the skills and scientific knowledge, I bet parents themselves too need to learn how to communicate (doesn't mean children don't!)
...
That's all for now! Happy NEw yEar folks! May you all have a joyous and blessed year 2008! It's RAT year ahead! Yea!!!! My troops will be honored in glory! muahahahahaha!

Have it your way!
Fine! My ideas are wrong. So, from now on I will say no word about YOUR dream nest! Stop asking me about this and that! And I will hear no more of your lectures on your sea views and what not via phone calls or any means of communication! I DON'T CARE!

Skating and bowling
Went out with Shiang Jin and Arina. Landed in KAC Skating rink @ Star city. Close to 2 hours of waiting, AGAIN! Well, I made it! Sis, you said the best way to learn to skate is to skate around the ring for at least ten rounds. Man! In less than half an hour, I was already at the middle zone, though I fell down almost 20 times and the sweat is oozing out from every pore of my body. Hey, success needs efforts and failure is the starting point for success, so why bother people laugh when you fall? Least I learned the techniques. Apologies to Arina, perhaps you prefer something else...
This is the skating rink. Where I fell almost 20 times. Hope it doesn't happen when I skate at pyramid.
My skating shoes (rented!!!)

Then we move on to Center point and got ourselves yoyo drinks. Well, thanx Arina for the treat. Before long, we found ourselves in Warisan Square, admiring the picturesque and panoramic view of Gaya Island all the way up to Sutera Harbour (perhaps I was the only one doing so)
A snap at Jesselton Point
Then, her aunt (Arina's) drove me and Shaing Jin back to Center Point, where we had one round of bowling game. Sorry about the indifferent attitude and impoliteness in car. Well, my bowling skills didn't improve. More practise is needed. Perhaps this is a typical life in KK if you're not into shopping I guess (plus the fact that you don't drive or take bus).

Movie buzz and love letters writing "insanity"
Just watched it. Another movie involving mice. Nice one I would say. Looks like more producers are starting to use mice as their main characters. From Stuart Little, Ratatouie, and now, the Chipmunks. Alright, they are chipmunks, but still, same family! Errr... hope they won't change my name again for this movie.
After the movie, I landed myself in Popular. And these are some of the books I flipped through:

After the movie, I landed myself in Popular. And these are some of the books I flipped through:
2 books to choose. Each weighs at least 1.2Kg. 600pages. If I had to opt, I would definitely go for the left one.
This book tells you what the title suggests, although it's mere Cheetham's opinion and findings. And my first impulse was right:
Yep! Proton Wira and Perodua Kancil is part of it (click on the pic for larger image)
...
The following are interesting extracts that I managed to snap from a book:
Wow... I never know love was that complicated.
100% agree.
Absence of such elements would probably lead to what we call "divorce" or "break up" or 失恋
Tips to write love letters...guess lot of us overlooked these... useful for today's valentines.
p/s: Linda, don't bother about your name up there. Wait till you read the sample letters...
Full of metaphoric language. Eiw... so yok ma man... Anyhow, he certainly proved either one of these:
1. His word bank is rich (the girl had probably herself a good English teacher/lawyer)
2. He spent a lot of time browsing through the dictionary (the girl may find him very hardworking, eager to learn, and very dedicated to her)
:P
Female is not left out in this case. Wait! the writer: Linda??!!!!! OMG, I really can't imagine you writing these kinda letters... LORINDA>>>> haha
Yep! All the preceding caption are from this lovely book. Imagine a couple visit each others house and realized that both of them own one of these, and the fact that they have been writing a lot to each other, what else? ALAMAK! KEDAPATAN!...haha... Who would buy this book a? I wonder...
Guys, get those words in your brain and start practicing your writing skills...ahaks!

In accordance with the upcoming development adjacent to Marina Court Kota Kinabalu
Perhaps having a six star hotel in front of your house is a good thing. Seeing the tourists (if there's any) walking in and out tells you your location is a promising one. Initial sea view is mere backyard or if you are lucky enough, the grand entrance of a six star hotel. Wait, six star? Forgive me for being naive, but do "six stars" exist? Further down the road, it is said that five star toilets to be built. "FIVE STAR TOILET"?!!!! Interesting grading system. Portrays so much of mere facade. So in love with status and names.
Meanwhile, the price of the property is jeopardized. Sea view is now either half sea view or hotel view. What's the point of forking that amount of money for such a disappointing act by the civil departments? We were not informed about it at all!!! Surely I doubt the parties involved are really making massive gain out of it. How a stroke of pen at the city hall can hurt so many citizens of the tropical city...
This is the view out of our balcony now. Sutera Harbour is clear in sight. Panoramic view of the South China Sea.
Perhaps this view won't be affected: The Waterfront
This is what we see today. In years to come, it may be a back alley of prestigious hotels and shopping malls.
View from master bedroom. I doubt this magnificent view last...
These are what I see as of 14-12-2007, years from now, one of my entries may portrays distinct sights.

Meanwhile, I just borrowed this from Cheryl. Caught my interest after watching The Golden Compass. A great motion I would say. Well done producers! Surely, the thickness of the book will keep me busy throughout the holidays. And my Isteri Hanoka Seishu is only down by half. Saga? It's sleeping soundly in LR27, KMB

Gathering and tourist "guiding"
Had lunch with Aaron, Rach and Sonya at The Hut, Damai.... Mini-gathering I would say. Then off to City Mall, a shopping center that is mere stone throw from my house which I hardly visit. The initial plan to the beach was cancelled due to the downpour, a least expected one... Diverted to Asia-city complex. The entry at skating rink really made me ponder, is KK really that "jungle" as claimed by SOME PEOPLE? Hey, we've got a skating rink here, DO YOU? haha...
Here are some of the sights I found interesting:
Here are some of the sights I found interesting:
The word "zheng" can be camouflaged into the letter "E"... cool, a perfect fit indeed...
Pity the shopkeepers, that had to entertain us for quite sometime and we ended up buying nothing...ahaks...
Hey! we've got three of these outlets here ok. Make sure you have one of these in your hometown before you open your criticism account against us...
Can shop name really tells what the shop sells? "Cute Girl"... Obviously you will find no men's items inside!
...
After that, I was left alone (willingly) in center. Wandered around the whole complex for more than two hours waiting for Sherm... erg... Anyhow, had a good time bringing her around center and warisan. Cheryl, it's a pity you can't join us. Man, she shops!!! and when the right moment comes, fuh... "this is cha's"... Don't worry Sherm, I'll remember what clothes you bought...hehe
Got (((lz)))'s gift, thanx dear... it was wonderful to receive something from a land so far away, and most importantly, from you...
The "r" fits well both as tree and letter R... Creative indeed.

As I wait by the mailbox each day....
The mail delivery officer arrived early, a smiley face appeared and I could observe he inserted a white envelope into my mailbox. With great anxiety, I rushed to it at once. My dreams shattered as I realized that it's mere payment bills. Went online to check my mail. Again, it showed no sign of their offers. The worries run through my thoughts all the time. When will these trauma saga end?
